Samit is a fintech, payments & banking expert with background in product management, credit and embedded finance with experience in start-ups, large payment processors as well as consumer and small business lenders. Samit has been involved in building retail lending portfolios in UK, Spain and emerging markets. He was instrumental in building a retail banking operation that provided branch-less banking, mobile banking, ATM cards and brick and mortar banking to clients in Ghana, Tanzania and Mozambique.

Samit has managed and introduced embedded lending products to the market. Having spent the formative part of his career with big monoline credit card providers like Capital One and American Express across a breadth of roles, his most recent Fintech experience has been in developing disruptive lending products built by leveraging the API ecosystem and open banking in Europe. He is passionate about challenging the traditional products and lending industry by developing products that make the best use of modern technology and data stacks.

Samit is an Engineer who spent the early part of career in software technology and then transitioned to customer centric roles after his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Oxford University.
