Matteo Zoppas

President of ITA at Italian Trade Agency

Born in 1974 in Pordenone, Matteo Zoppas graduated at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan with a degree in Business Economics. He later went on to earn two master’s degrees from CUOA Business School in Lean Manufacturing and in Business Administration.

He served as an analyst at the Mediobanca Equity Investments Office from 2002 to 2003, then as responsible for the Small Household Appliances BU in Zoppas Industries, from 2003 to 2006. In 2006 he held position in the Optimizing Industrial Operations unit and then, as responsible, in the IT unit at San Benedetto SpA. Later, he was appointed as head of Co-packing, Export unit and Brand Internationalization at San Benedetto SpA, until 2023.
From 2006 he is a member of the Board of Directors of Acqua Minerale San Benedetto SpA and SIPA SpA.

He was President of Young Entrepreneurs of Venice, then President of Confindustria Venice, the Metropolitan Venice Area and Rovigo and President of Confindustria Veneto from 2017 to 2019, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Council of Confindustria Nazionale (the Italian confederation of industry) for ten years.

Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Italian Trade Agency in December 2022, he was elected President in February 2023 and renewed in December 2024.
