Akis Andrianos is a business development and strategy professional with more than 10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. As Director, Global Business Development AIR at Chiesi, he leads end-to-end business development activities within the company's respiratory franchise, contributing to portfolio strategy and leading the sourcing, valuation, negotiation and execution of licensing and M&A opportunities. Prior to joining Chiesi, he spent nearly six years in Corporate Development at Galapagos, where he led and supported the evaluation and negotiation of multiple licensing and M&A opportunities and transactions in immunology and oncology. Earlier in his career, he held business development and analytical roles at ProQR Therapeutics and worked in the department of the Chief Strategy Officer at Centrient Pharmaceuticals, leading initiatives in change management, customer segmentation, and competitive intelligence. Akis holds a Master's degree in Biology and Science-Based Business from Leiden University and is currently completing an MBA at Warwick Business School (Class of 2026).
