Prof. Ann Lindberg is Director General (DG) at the Swedish Medical Products Agency (SMPA) in Uppsala, and member of the Management Board of the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The SMPA has a national responsibility for supporting supply chain resilience for medicines and medical devices, with Prof. Lindberg representing in MSSG, the EMA Executive Steering Group on Shortages and Safety of Medicinal Products. Her scientific background is in veterinary epidemiology, with a focus on regulatory science related to surveillance and disease control. She has also engaged in One Health capacity building and preparedness, both at the national and EU level.
