Lene Gerlach, PhD, is a life science venture investor with more than 25 years of experience in venture capital, company building, intellectual property, and healthcare innovation. She is Venture Partner at Hadean Ventures, where she contributes to investment sourcing, due diligence, and strategic initiatives across life sciences and planetary health. Previously, she was Partner at Eir Ventures and Senior Investment Manager at the Danish Sovereign State Fund (EIFO/Vækstfonden), where she built and led the early-stage investment team. Throughout her investment career, she has participated in financing more than 35 life science companies and has extensive experience in venture capital, governance, and company building.

In addition to her investment activities, Dr. Gerlach advises life science companies on strategy, intellectual property, and transaction readiness. She is also Founder and Chair of Women in Life Science Denmark (WiLD), a Nordic network advancing diversity and leadership across the life sciences. With a PhD in neuroscience and extensive board experience, she is a frequent speaker on venture investing, innovation, and company building.
