Margarida Duarte is Senior Vice President, General Manager, Europe and Emerging Markets at Genmab, where she leads the company's commercial business across the region as it continues to expand its commercialization capabilities and bring innovative antibody-based medicines to more patients with cancer. With more than 20 years of international leadership experience spanning oncology, hematology and rare diseases, she is responsible for driving business performance, alignment and launch excellence across Europe and Emerging Markets.

Prior to joining Genmab, Margarida served as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals. She has also held senior leadership roles at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Exelixis, Onyx Pharmaceuticals and Amgen, leading commercialization strategies and overseeing major oncology launches across diverse healthcare systems.

A pharmacist by training, Margarida joined Genmab at a pivotal point in its evolution to a fully integrated biotechnology company, attracted by its leadership in antibody science, and commitment to improving outcomes for people with cancer. She is focused on building agile, high-performing teams, strengthening partnerships across the region, and expanding patient access to innovative medicines.
