Marine BeurdeleyGlobal Business Development Lead, Neurology at ServierSpeaker
Profile
I am a seasoned pharmaceutical industry professional with 15 years of experience spanning research, strategy consulting, corporate strategy, and business development. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong track record in evaluating and advancing innovative healthcare opportunities, shaping corporate growth strategies, and building partnerships that accelerate the development and delivery of transformative therapies to patients.
My expertise lies primarily in neuroscience and rare diseases, combining deep scientific knowledge with strategic and commercial acumen. I hold a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and began my career in academic research, contributing to cutting-edge science within internationally renowned institutions. I subsequently transitioned into strategy consulting, where I advised leading biopharmaceutical companies on corporate strategy, portfolio optimization, transaction support, and growth opportunities across multiple therapeutic areas.
Building on this foundation, I moved into the pharmaceutical industry, taking on roles of increasing responsibility in corporate strategy and business development. In these positions, I have led the assessment and execution of numerous strategic initiatives, including licensing opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, portfolio management decisions, and long-term growth planning. My experience spans the full deal-making process, from opportunity sourcing and scientific evaluation to due diligence, negotiations, transaction execution, and post-deal integration.
I joined Servier in January 2026 to lead Business Development activities for the build-out of the Rare Neurology franchise, following the company's strategic decision to expand into the rare neurology space. In this role, I am responsible for identifying and evaluating external innovation opportunities, shaping franchise growth strategies, and establishing partnerships that strengthen Servier's position in rare neurological disorders. Working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, I contribute to the development of a differentiated and sustainable portfolio aimed at addressing significant unmet patient needs.
