Profile
Dr Ole F. Olesen is policy officer at the unit for Health Innovations & Ecosystems at DG RTD of the European Commission. Ole has studied at the universities of Aarhus, Denmark and Cambridge, UK, as well as at Copenhagen Business School, and he holds a PhD degree in Molecular Biology and an HD degree in international economics. Prior to his current position, Ole has worked in both academia, non-profit product development organisations, and for more than 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry in Scandinavia. In his current position, Ole is responsible for catalysing actions and policies that can support and structure the development and uptake of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in Europe.
