Philip Brainin is CEO of Isomab Ltd, a UK-based cardiovascular biotech developing ISM-001 (vexobicizumab), a first-in-class humanised antibody targeting VEGF-A165b to restore therapeutic angiogenesis in ischemic heart disease. Philip trained as a physician-scientist (MD, PhD and MBA), and spent several years as a life sciences investor at Sound Bioventures and Sunstone in Copenhagen, where he led diligence across early-stage biotechs and rare disease programmes. He brings a distinctive combination of clinical, scientific, and investment experience to the challenge of building cardiovascular companies at the frontier of vascular biology.
