Profile
Dr. Reyk Horland is CEO of TissUse GmbH and a biotechnology executive with a strong scientific and commercial background. He holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Technische Universität Berlin, with a focus on medical biotechnology and tissue engineering.
He has been closely involved in the development and commercialization of the Multi-Organ-Chip technology since 2010. After leading Business Development from 2012 onward, he built early partnerships with pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies and implemented TissUse’s hybrid model combining contract research services with scalable platform products. He led the market launch of the HUMIMIC® platform in 2014 and was appointed VP Business Development in 2015.
Since 2020, as CEO, he drives the company’s strategic growth, international partnerships, and global commercialization of organ-on-chip technologies.
