Prof. Dr. Stefanie Dimmeler is Director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Regeneration at Goethe University Frankfurt, Professor of Molecular Cardiology, and spokesperson of both the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK) and the Cardio-Pulmonary Institute, a German Cluster of Excellence.
She is internationally renowned for pioneering contributions to cardiovascular regeneration, vascular biology, ageing and non-coding RNAs, with a strong focus on translating fundamental discoveries into new therapies.
Prof. Dimmeler has received major scientific honours, including the Leibniz Prize, the ESC Gold Medal and the Otto Warburg Medal. She is a member of the Leopoldina, a multiple ERC Advanced Grant awardee, and consistently listed among the world’s Highly Cited Researchers.
