Valerio Pereno is Head of Strategic Partnerships at Basecamp Research, a company based in London and Boston that builds frontier AI models for therapeutic design and development. He established partnerships with pharmaceutical and AI companies spanning research collaborations, platform access and licensing opportunities for assets designed using Basecamp’s EDEN models. His work supports the company’s programmes in cell and gene therapy and peptide therapeutics.
Before joining Basecamp Research, Valerio worked in business development at ONI, identifying growth opportunities and establishing collaborations across academia and industry. He holds a PhD in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, where his research focused on targeted drug delivery.
