Dr. Anke Mayer-Bartschmid received her Ph.D. in biotechnology, followed by a position at Bayer AG with the responsibility for a research microbiology bioreactor unit. In 2007, she joined the newly founded Biologics unit at Bayer to establish and implement a protein expression system for microbial and mammalian cell expression. Since 2013, Dr. Mayer-Bartschmid is responsible for Cell Line Development of GMP-ready production cell lines at Bayer, Germany.
