Dr. James Blackwell is President of Windshire Group, LLC, a global biopharmaceutical consulting firm, and is leading industry consultant on the development, quality, and manufacturing of therapeutics. His experience encompasses early process development to commercial operations for major therapeutic classes, and he has consulted to clients globally from start-ups to multi-nationals, and to major industry investors. He has held senior positions with Repligen, Genzyme, and Abbvie, where he was the site Head of Technical Operations. He served on the formative management team for several start-ups. As a member of ISPE, he has held leadership positions at the Chapter and National levels. He is also a member of ISCT, PDA, and AAPS. Dr. Blackwell has graduate training in chemical engineering, microbiology, and business/technology management from Northeastern University, The Ohio State University, and University of Maryland.
