Todd McDevitt, PhD, is currently the Vice President, Head of Cell Therapy Research at Genentech, where he leads the advancement of innovative cell-based therapies. Before joining industry, Dr. McDevitt was a Senior Investigator at the Gladstone Institutes and a Professor of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Prior to that, he was the inaugural Director of the Stem Cell Engineering Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Flanagan Professor in the Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University. Dr. McDevitt earned his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington and his B.S.E. in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
