Profile

Antonio Molina is Professor of Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and group leader at the Plant Biotechnology and Genomics Center (CBGP, UPM-CISC). He has been Director of the CBGP (2016-2024). His research activity focuses on Plant Immunity and its applications to crop protection. Dr. Molina has developed an intense activity of innovation and technology transfer that resulted in the commercialization of several agrobiological products. Dr. Molina is co-founder (2011) of PlantResponse Biotech, acquired by Mosaic Company (USA). He is also co-founder and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of spin-off Nawter Discovery (2024), a company providing biological-based solutions for agriculture.
