Chiali Liu is Senior Director of Drug Substance Development in Biologics CMC department at Teva Pharmaceuticals. She oversees upstream and downstream process development of biologic drug substance.

Chiali obtained Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at MIT. She has more than 20 years’ experience in CMC of biologics, including early-phase and late-phase process development, scale-up, technology transfer, clinical and commercial production, regulatory submission, and strategies for CMC activities. She has also contributed to technology transfer and commercialization of advanced therapies. She worked at Janssen, GSK, Human Genome Sciences, and Centocor before joining Teva.
