Dethardt Müller has over 25 years of professional experience in biopharmaceutical process engineering. He is a senior expert with profound knowledge in the development and implementation of innovative manufacturing processes for therapeutic proteins, vaccines and virus-based cancer immunotherapies.

Dethardt was holding different senior positions in biopharmaceutical industry and academia, focusing on the development of manufacturing processes and process technologies, process transfer, scale-up and clinical GMP manufacturing. He has overseen relevant projects in the field of recombinant cell line development using targeted integration, continuous manufacturing, single-use technologies and their impact on process performance and safety, and Quality by Design in bioprocess development using multivariate methods for process design, analysis and control.

Dethardt gained his scientific expertise in biopharmaceutical process development and manufacturing as Assistant Professor at the BOKU University Vienna where he received his PhD in Biotechnology and his Habilitation in Bioprocess Engineering.
