James Morrissey is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Vaccine Production Program (VPP) of the NIAID Vaccine Research Center, where he applies computational tools to understand and optimize CHO cell bioprocessing for the development of mAb and vaccine candidates. James earned his PhD in systems biology 2024 from Imperial College London, under the supervision of Professor Cleo Kontoravdi. During his PhD, James worked in the Cell Culture & Fermentation Sciences department of AstraZeneca, where he developed and applied genome-scale modeling techniques for CHO cell media and feeding optimization.
