Marshall Ma, a research analyst at the FDA CDER research center, is the inventor of the described technology. Dr. Ma has led the development of the technology at Boston University through his graduate study and post-doctoral training. As Dr. Ma continues his research in in vitro testing models based on stem-cell derived heart tissues at the FDA, he is leading the collaboration between the FDA and other academic institutes to find solutions that can fill the needs of reducing, replacing, and refining animal and human subject for industrial bioprocessing.
