Dr. Dr.-Ing. Binod Prasad is a Senior Principal Scientist at Abalos Therapeutics GmbH with over 15 years of experience in bioprocess development, genetic engineering, manufacturing science and technology, and technology transfer within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. He is a subject-matter expert in developing microbial strains through biochemical and genetic engineering for the production of high-value compounds, and in upstream and downstream processing of biologics, with deep expertise in cell culture, virus-based therapeutics, tangential flow filtration, and chromatography.

Dr. Prasad holds two doctoral degrees in Genetic Engineering and Biochemical Engineering and has conducted research across Germany, South Korea, and India. His international experience and multidisciplinary expertise enable him to drive robust, scalable bioprocess solutions in complex biopharmaceutical environments.
