Dr. Gene Malin is a Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) Lead at Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and innovations (CEPI).
AT CEPI Gene supports CMC development for broad variety of projects spanning viral vectors, attenuated viruses, nanoparticles, subunit vaccines, mRNA, alternative delivery devices as well as monoclonal antibodies in an effort to realize CEPI's mission of delivering countermeasures within 100 days of epidemic outbreaks. Gene as well supports multiple technology innovation projects and initiatives including new modalities, process platformability, enhancing drug product stability, reducing vaccines development and manufacturing cost, and otherwise making medical countermeasures more accessible throughout the Globe including Medium and Low Income Countries. Gene is also representing CEPI's AI task force, building near- and long-term organizational strategy to actualize AI potential for advancing it's 10 days mission.
Before joining CEPI Gene held technical leadership roles most recently at Tonix Pharmaceutical, Resilience, Aura Biosciences and contributed to advancing broad range of therapeutic modalities through 20+ years career in biopharmaceutical industry.
Gene holds a Doctorate in Biochemistry from Weizmann Institute of Science and a Master Degree in Biochemical Engineering from Mendeleev University for Chemistry and Technology.
