Jesús Lavado García, PhD is Group Leader and Co-Principal Investigator of the Mammalian Cell and Bioprocess Engineering group at DTU Biosustain, Denmark. His research focuses on mammalian cell engineering and advanced biomanufacturing, with particular emphasis on viral vectors (AAV), virus-like particles (VLPs), and recombinant biologics for gene and cell therapy applications, integrating bioprocess development with -omics technologies to enable data-driven optimization of complex biological systems. He obtained his PhD in Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2021 and in 2022 he started his postdoctoral work at DTU Biosustain with a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship.
