Maria Boulieri is Lead Privacy Counsel at Chiesi Group, a global biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Parma, Italy. With a background in both law and technology, she works on Privacy and AI Compliance across Europe, supporting Chiesi’s international operations. She is member of the company’s internal AI Committee, contributing to global governance and operational strategies around the responsible use of AI.

Previously, Maria worked in both consultancy and law firm environments, advising primarily pharmaceutical clients on complex legal matters involving data protection, emerging technologies, and intellectual property. She holds an LLM in International and European Legal Studies and a Master’s in Law & AI.

Maria is CIPP/E and CIPM certified, a member of the European Data Protection Board’s Support Pool of Experts, and the Regional Chapter Chair in Greece for Women in AI Governance (WiAIG), where she volunteers to raise awareness and bring together the community around this topic.
