Michael joined the Baxter/Baxalta/Shire/Takeda company in 2006 and holds an MSc in Microbiology and a PhD in Genetics from the University of Vienna.

From 2004 to 2006, he completed a postdoctoral position at the University of Limerick, Ireland, where he worked on an innovative microbial cloning project.

Over the years, Michael has led teams in developing advanced bioprocesses and driving successful regulatory submissions.

His expertise spans protein modification, process development, and large-scale manufacturing, with a strong focus on efficiency and sustainability.

He continues to lead complex projects, delivering robust and scalable drug substance processes.
