Preethi Krishnaraj is a Post.Doc in the Development CMC Biology division at Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach, Germany, in the group of Dr. Simon Fischer. Her work centers on developing next-generation host cell lines to enhance the efficiency of biopharmaceutical production.
Her academic journey has a rich interdisciplinary background - Preethi pursued her PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Heart & Lung Research, Germany, where she investigated genetic compensation mechanisms. Prior to that, during her master’s research in Taiwan, she made significant contributions to understanding the wound-healing properties of a Chinese Traditional Medicine using zebrafish. Alongside her scientific pursuits, Preethi actively supports the rare disease diaspora in India. Now transitioning from academia to industry, she is keen on expanding her molecular expertise to advance innovative cell line technologies.
