As the President and Chair of the National Apartment Council (NAC), Derek is orchestrating a unified voice for Canada’s private apartment developers—who have built the majority of apartments in the country. With a strong emphasis on the social impact of housing on Canadians, the NAC is concentrating on helping government solve the national housing crisis while advocating for this key group that has previously had no representation.

Derek has authored twenty-one books and is a regular speaker at many of North America’s largest financial and commercial real estate events.
