Julian Schonfeldt joined CAPREIT in 2022 as CAPREIT’s first Chief Investment Officer. He is responsible for leading CAPREIT’s strategic and growth initiatives, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, capital allocation, investor relations, investment performance, and communication with key stakeholders. Mr. Schonfeldt was previously a Managing Director in the Real Estate Group at RBC Capital Markets, where he was responsible for equity and debt capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions transactions, strategic advisory assignments, and the valuation of major assets and portfolios. Mr. Schonfeldt holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University and holds his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designations.
