The ship is a multivariable environment and these variables are connected in such a way that there is no room for independency. For that reason, ship design is a complex and iterative procedure and it cannot be described by a set of equations, which can be solved directly. The primary goal of the designer is to create a project that not only will satisfy regulations and requirements, but also it will fit in the marine environment, economic trends and the accelerating advance of technology.
This course aims to present all the tools needed for an organised step-by-step procedure, in order to carefully select all parameters that a naval architect needs for a complete and efficient new way of design.
Ideal for:
- Junior naval architects, naval architects, ship designers, head naval architects
- Marine surveyors and allied roles
- Shipyard managers
- Insurance, law and allied professionals
- Regulatory professionals
