Kelly Soldavin is a Senior Editor for the publisher Taylor & Francis, managing the Expert Research portfolio of Medicine & Health journals and contributing to publication development, including the recent launch of Plain Language Summaries of Publications. She is passionate about patient collaboration in publishing, plain language summaries and other enhanced content, accessibility and discoverability of publications, and ethical and transparent publishing practices. Kelly writes and peer reviews articles on these topics and speaks at conferences and webinars, including those sponsored by the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP), European Medical Writers Association (EMWA), and Counsel of Science Editors. She is a member of the Open Pharma Plain Language Summary & Discoverability Working Group, secretary for the ISMPP Board of Trustees, co-lead for the ISMPP Social Media & Web-based Metrics Committee, and member of the ISMPP Annual Meeting Program Committee.
