Maureen Kashuba is the Health Literacy Projects Lead within Clinical Data Disclosure & Transparency (CDD&T) at Merck & Co., Inc, Rahway, NJ USA. This includes Protocol and Results Plain Language Summaries, Merck’s Health Literate Glossary, as well as other initiatives focused on incorporating Health Literacy principles and best practices into patient and public communications. Maureen co-chairs the DIA Plain Language Summary Working Group, is a member of the MRCT Center Glossary Development team and the EFPIA Patient Friendly Language Subteam. Maureen is passionate about working to ensure people feel empowered with the information they need to make health decisions and manage their overall health.
