Sergio Aguilar holds degrees in Agricultural and Food Engineering. He began his career in the agricultural sector over 20 years ago at Atlántica Agrícola, where he served as Export Manager for Europe and Asia. He later joined Stoller, taking on the role of General Manager of Stoller Europe for 12 years. During this time, he was instrumental in establishing the company’s presence across the European Union, North and West Africa, and CIS countries.

He was subsequently promoted to Regional Vice President for the EMEA region, a position he held for four years. In this role, he led and supported the business operations of Stoller Europe, Stoller Turkey, and Stoller South Africa, ultimately overseeing the integration of Stoller's EMEA operations into Corteva Biologicals.

In February 2025, after leaving Corteva, Sergio Aguilar joined Biorizon Biotech as General Manager, with the mission of guiding and managing the company’s rapid growth and global expansion
