After completing a quarter of a century as a successful basketball coach, Shimmy Miller transitioned into television broadcasting as an analyst with the Big Ten Network, Chicago Sky, Marquee Sports, and CBS Sports. As a coach, Miller spent time at all five of the Power Five conferences. During her career, she helped her teams to nine NCAA Tournament appearances including two Sweet 16 appearances, one Elite Eight, and three conference championships. Miller has coached dozens of All-Conference, All-American and WNBA Draft picks along with a pair of conference Players of the Year in both the Big Ten and PAC 10.
Miller holds her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and has a Masters in Leadership and Development from Clemson University. The letter winner and Michigan team captain won the Bob Ufer Quarterback Club Award for leadership and dedication amongst all Michigan student-athletes. Miller played professionally in Portugal and was inducted into the Greater Flint Afro-American Sports Hall of Fame in her hometown of Flint, Michigan.
