Dr Timothy F. Parsons is an Irish academic based in the United Kingdom. He has over forty years experience as a mentor, coach and researcher specializing in community policing, human rights in policing, and Islamist violent extremism and terrorism. He has a doctorate in education from King’s College London and is the author of Police Responses to Islamist Violent Extremism and Terrorism (Emerald Publishing 2024) and co-author of Policing in an Age of Reform an Agenda for Research & Practice (Palgrave Macmillan 2021). He is a former chief inspector in the City of London Police.
