Lailani “Lala” Tolentino-Rahon serves as the Country Manager of The Mission to Seafarers Philippines since 2019. She leads the Manila-based team and provides strategic oversight of the organization’s operations, programmes, and welfare services across the Philippines. With more than two decades of leadership experience in corporate project delivery, financial management, and community organizing, Lala brings strong operational discipline, sound financial stewardship, and extensive stakeholder-engagement experience to her role. She oversees the delivery of holistic welfare support to seafarers and their families in maritime communities throughout the country. Her professional training includes wellbeing programmes, suicide-alertness interventions, pastoral communication, and counselling. Her lived experience as the spouse of a seafarer also gives her a grounded understanding of the challenges facing seafarers and their families. She combines this first-hand perspective with strategic leadership and welfare expertise to advance compassionate, responsive, and practical support for the seafaring community.
