Chief Executive at International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN)

Simon was appointed as the Chief Executive of the International Seafarers Welfare Assistance Network (ISWAN) in June 2021. He is taking over the charity at an exciting time as ISWAN continues to meet the challenge of supporting seafarers through the pandemic. In 2001, after 20 years in the UK Police service, Simon moved into the charity sector and has gained substantial experience of leading organisations working in the fields of homelessness and poverty reduction. Simon has also worked for INGOs in the disability sector, leading programmes in Nepal and Pakistan.

After many years of travelling, Simon has now settled in the south-west of England with his family.
