Vinay Singh is the Group Managing Director of Marine HR at Anglo-Eastern, overseeing 700+ vessels under technical management and 500 under crew management with a pool of 39,000+ active seafarers. He ensures smooth operations and strategic growth of the crew talent pool through a network of Marine HR offices worldwide. Vinay’s emphasis on processes, technology, and continuous improvements has led to initiatives such as a talent matrix programme and app-based crew communications. Before leading Marine HR in 2019, he was Managing Director of the Indian crewing division, expanding it from 160 to 480 vessels. A prominent figure in the Indian maritime industry, he led the Maritime Association of Shipowners, Shipmanagers and Agents (MASSA) and served on various maritime boards. Vinay began his career with Anglo-Eastern in 1986 as a third officer, eventually becoming a captain before transitioning to shore based roles.
