Misa is an industry expert in ESG, decarbonization and climate solutions investing. Misa founded Green Ventures Capital in 2011, a private investment company specialising in private equity investments in climate solutions, clean energy technologies and assets; with exposure in both developed and emerging markets. Most recently, Misa spent 2 years at the Institutional Investors Group on Climate change where she led IIGCC's work on private markets and led the development of the Net Zero Investment Framework for the Private Equity Industry (published in May 2023) and the Net Zero Investment Framework for the Private Debt Industry (published in May 2024). Earlier in her career, Misa worked for the African Development Bank where she managed their private equity portfolio (funds and direct investments). Misa also worked for the World Bank on their carbon funds and the United Development Programme in Asia Pacific where she created and led the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change (PACC) progamme. Misa has an MBA from the University of Chicago; a Masters in Environmental Management from Yale University and a Bachelor in Engineering from the University of Antananarivo.
