Module 9: Management in Tough Times/Environments
This module introduces why businesses must continually evolve in order to remain relevant and successful. Change management and leadership is central to business success and this module examines how to deliver change in benign and adverse conditions. It also considers how to motivate staff and how to manage their expectations before, during and after change. Most businesses face hardships and this module considers how to build resilience and manage redundancy, grievance and disciplinary procedures. This module also addresses decision making during a crisis.
Learning Outcomes
- Describe and apply appropriate change management methods and appropriate leadership measures.
- Discuss how building resilience and using influence techniques can lead the organisation and its employees through change.
- Apply crisis management techniques to achieve leadership and teamwork against the odds and make the best decisions to avoid adversity or failure.
