As the Head of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) at Nuveen, Briton oversees the strategic direction, execution, and oversight of Nuveen's ETF suite. With over 25 years of experience in the ETF industry, he is a seasoned financial services executive and a recognized subject matter expert in the ETP ecosystem. He leads an ETF team that delivers innovative solutions, enhances operational efficiency, and manages risk across multiple asset classes and wrappers. Briton began his career in trade support at Alex Brown and continued his pursuit at Morgan Stanley before moving on to head the ETF trading desks at NewEdge and Mizuho Securities. Briton transitioned into the asset management side of the business when he took on the entrepreneurial Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets role at Accushares, bringing their very first ETFs to market. Similarly, Briton joined Nuveen in 2016 where he has gone on to assist in building Nuveen’s ETF presence. Briton was the Co-Chair of the SIFMA AMG ETF Committee from 2020 to 2023 and is a senior member of the ICI ETF Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Women in ETFs (WE) South Chapter, as well as TIAA’s Achieve Business Resource Group, both of which focus on empowering female associates and strengthening their networks, personal development, advancement, representation, and business success. Briton graduated with a B.S. from Pace University and an M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University. He holds the FINRA Series 3, 4, 7, 24 and 55 securities registrations.
