Darren Hinshaw, CFA, is the Director of Research at NBC Securities, where he leads investment strategy and portfolio management, supporting a broad network of independent financial advisors across the country. A CFA charterholder and graduate of Florida State University, Darren has over 25 years of experience managing portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, institutions, and retirement plans. His expertise in asset allocation, risk management, and equity selection allows advisors to offer highly tailored investment solutions that align with their clients’ unique financial goals.

At NBCS Asset Management, he serves as the lead portfolio manager for the NBCS Focus, Core, and Balanced Core Strategies. Darren specializes in customized investment strategies, giving financial professionals access to a broad range of options, from model portfolios to fully personalized solutions. He combines institutional-level research with a hands-on approach, helping advisors construct sophisticated, growth-oriented portfolios that meet evolving market demands. Beyond his investment leadership, Darren is actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Valencia College Foundation and the Salvation Army Orlando Area Command, as well as chairing the finance committee for the Central Florida Boy Scouts.
