Darren Hinshaw is the Director of Research at NBC Securities, a hybrid broker-dealer and RIA headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, serving approximately 80 financial advisors and overseeing around $5 billion in client assets. As Director of Research, Darren leads the firm's investment strategy, manager due diligence, and model portfolio construction. He also oversees NBCS Asset Management, which manages approximately $700 million in separately managed account (SMA) portfolios.Darren is currently spearheading initiatives to expand the firm's investment capabilities, including the exploration of OCIO solutions and the development of a Portfolio Management Group focused on acquiring and managing books of business from advisors and RIAs.Active in his community, Darren serves on the boards of the Valencia College Foundation and the Salvation Army Orlando Area Command, and chairs the Finance Committee for the Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
