Jamie L. Mendelsohn is Partner and Executive Vice President of Ashar Group, an independent, nationally licensed sell-side life settlement broker that protects policy owners’ best interests by conducting a competitive auction to maximize policy value. Family-owned and vetted by nearly 100,000 professionals nationwide, Ashar Group does not sell life insurance, manage assets, or purchase policies.

Since 2003, Ashar Group has partnered with insurance and financial professionals, BGAs, fiduciary advisors, broker-dealers, and institutions, serving as an advanced planning resource focused solely on life settlements and life insurance valuation. As subject matter experts, the firm provides continuing education for insurance producers (CE), CPAs (CPE), and attorneys (CLE). Ashar Group has been published in Trust & Estates, The Tax Adviser, and Society of Financial Professionals (FSP) on integrating fair market value analyses into comprehensive estate, business, and charitable planning strategies.

For nearly 20 years, Jamie has been recognized as a dedicated client advocate, skilled negotiator representing policy owners, and a leader in educating the financial services community on treating life insurance as an asset. She has been invited to speak nationally at estate and charitable planning councils, tax institutes, industry conferences, including LIMRA, Finseca, and NAEPC, as well as educational institutions such as Harvard Business School's family-office wealth management events, Rice University's MBA program, and The American College Center for Retirement Income.

Jamie earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Florida and is a proud member of Women in Insurance and Financial Services. She serves on the board of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, where she mentors patients navigating these challenges. Jamie divides her time between Orlando and Bozeman, and enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
