Mike is a Managing Director and Head of M&A at CAPTRUST where he is responsible for identifying and executing transformative M&A opportunities that align with the firm’s strategic priorities and direction. Throughout his career, what he has most enjoyed is working with entrepreneurs and business owners to help them maximize their company’s value through highly successful liquidity events.

Before joining CAPTRUST, Mike worked as a managing director at ECHELON Partners, a boutique investment bank that specializes in the wealth and investment management industry. In his nine years there, he led some of the industry's most notable transactions.

Earlier in his career, Mike worked as a financial advisor at Lehman Brothers and UBS, where he pioneered one of Wall Street’s most successful cross-divisional practices between wealth management and investment banking. During this time, he sourced more than $2 billion in investment banking and private equity transactions and built a $400 million+ AUM advisory business.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from Brigham Young University and his Master of Business Administration in finance and entrepreneurship from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
