Profile

As Director of Practice Management at Plancorp, Ranie Verby brings a rare combination of technical expertise, behavioral insight, and a deep passion for advisor development to the table. Ranie brings client facing experience alongside firm level leadership and deep expertise in people management to the table. With credentials including a Master of Accountancy in Taxation, CPA, CFP®, and a Certificate in Behavioral Advice from Shaping Wealth, she is uniquely positioned to speak to the evolving needs of both advisors and clients in today’s wealth management landscape.

Ranie is often tapped to speak on topics such as practice management, advisor career paths, and behavioral finance. She has recently spoken at leading industry events including Dimensional NEXT (2025), Women in Independent Wealth (2025), Future Proof (2025) and Portfolio Summits Practice Management Symposium (2026), where she shared insights on the future of practice management and the unique challenges and opportunities for women in the industry.

Her passion lies in creating meaningful career paths for advisors and developing training methodologies that support their long-term growth, based on her experience overseeing a group of 24 advisors and growing. She is especially energized by conversations around how firms can invest in their people to drive performance—a philosophy she lives every day at Plancorp, where a true team approach and people-first culture have been a critical part of the firm’s success in organically growing from $1B in 2010 to $10B AUM today.

Ranie is also the founder of Girl Meets Money, a personal project aimed at empowering individuals—particularly women—to build confidence and clarity around their financial lives, regardless of their background (or lack thereof) in finance. The platform reflects her commitment to making financial advice more accessible and human.
