Ruediger (“Rudy”) Adolf is the Founder and CEO of E-3 Tech LLC (E3T) and Chairman ofSylvan Inc. E3T's inaugural transaction was the acquisition of Sylvan Inc., a multi-trade constructioncompany specializing in large-scale, complex, and mission-critical projects across some of thefastest-growing industries in America. Sylvan is well positioned to capitalize on powerfultailwinds — including reshoring, supply chain resilience, and data center investment — as wellas the rapid adoption of advanced technologies such as AI, BIM, VR, drone systems, andwearables. As a result, the company serves as an ideal platform for growth-oriented businesses inthe commercial multi-trade sector. Since E3T's investment, Sylvan has grown into one of the tenlargest MEP contractors in North America.
Prior to founding E3T, Rudy was the Founder and CEO of Focus Financial Partners, theleading global partnership of independent fiduciary wealth management firms. He launchedFocus in 2006 to provide top-performing Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and clientcentricbroker teams with the capital, strategic expertise, and operational resources to drivescalable growth—while preserving their entrepreneurial cultures. In 2018, Rudy led Focusthrough a successful IPO on Nasdaq, delivering top-quartile returns to shareholders. In 2023,Focus was taken private in a $7.3 billion transaction led by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and StonePoint Capital.
At the time of privatization, Focus comprised nearly 100 partner firms with 6,000 professionalsmanaging $400 billion in client assets across the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, Switzerland, theBahamas, and Panama. The firm was featured in a Harvard Business School case study andwidely recognized in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and The New York Times. UnderRudy’s leadership, Focus was named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growinghttps://www.e-3.tech info@E-3.tech Miami, FL E-3 Tech,LLCcompanies five times and recognized as a “Fast 50” firm by Crain’s New York Business. Earlier in his career, Rudy held senior executive positions at American Express and McKinsey& Company. He began his professional journey at his family’s CPA firm in Austria. Rudy holdsa Doctorate in Law from the University of Innsbruck and is a frequent speaker at industryforums hosted by Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Schwab, Fidelity, the Bank for InternationalSettlements, Harvard Business School, and YPO.
Outside of business, Rudy and his family actively support educational and environmentalinitiatives in the U.S. and Costa Rica. He lives in Miami and is closely involved in managing thefamily’s cattle ranch in Costa Rica, where they raise award winning Brahmans usingregenerative agriculture practices. An avid outdoorsman and experienced jet pilot, Rudy haslogged thousands of flight hours in support of his ventures across the globe.
