Mayor Andrew Knack was elected in October 2025 as the 37th Mayor of Edmonton.

Born in Edmonton, he moved back to the city from Spruce Grove after high school, to attend the University of Alberta where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Mayor Knack credits his experience in the business sector, his involvement with Edmonton’s community leagues, and his commitment to being engaged with the community to help him understand the complexities of public office.

Mayor Knack was elected on a commitment to champion Edmonton during our unprecedented growth. In alignment with the City Council’s priorities of economic development, safety, quality services, and growth, Mayor Knack’s initiatives will allow Edmonton to grow into a city where people of all backgrounds can live and prosper.

He is honoured to serve as Mayor of the great City of Edmonton, and is proud to work alongside all residents to build a stronger Edmonton, together.
