Eric Horie joined Trez Capital in January 2017. As Senior Managing Director, Head of Canadian Origination he is responsible for both leading the Canadian origination team and for sourcing commercial and multi-family mortgage loan and equity investment opportunities. Eric’s team originates, underwrite and structure lending transactions for Trez Capital’s various Funds.

Eric has over a decade of lending, underwriting and transactional experience, both in real estate and in diversified industry. Prior to joining Trez Capital, Eric was with BMO’s Commercial Banking Group where he held a variety of positions including leading a team of diversified industry lenders. Real estate transactional experience includes high leverage, construction, term, owner-user, syndications and joint offerings with mezzanine lenders.

Eric holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. He is actively involved in a number of charitable causes including the United Way and the Richmond Hospital Foundation.
