In his current role as Chief Operating Officer, Jodie Wacko is responsible for all aspects of Cantiro’ s corporate objectives with a focus on Growth & Aquistions in several key Canadian markets and refining Cantiro’s industry leading People and Culture initiatives. Drawing on his over 25 years of experience on a wide range of development projects in multiple jurisdictions and Provinces, Jodie has earned a thorough understanding of all aspects of building communities. An active member of his profession and community, Jodie served as an elected member of Edmonton’s Urban Development Institute from 2005–2007, past Chair of the UDI Planning Committee (2013 – 2015) as well as several industry and community initiatives, including affordable housing, regionalization and member of the Arterial Road Assessment Steering Committee. Mr. Wacko’s previous roles as a Senior Planner with Strathcona County and Managing Leader of Stantec Edmonton’s Planning and Landscape Architecture Practice have furnished him with insight, foundations and appreciation of different aspects of development.
Jodie is also committed to giving back to his community through his involvement as a Committee Member and, 2018 Chair, of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Tee Up for Tots Golf Tournament, Member of the Advisory Committee and guest lecturer - University of Alberta, Faculty of Science Urban and Regional Planning Program and CASA Carnival (in Support of Children’s Mental Health) Committee Member.
