Mike Saunders is the Senior Vice President at Qualico Properties and oversees the investment, development, leasing, property management and asset management of all Qualico income-producing properties, which includes mixed-use, office, retail, residential, and light industrial buildings. With a goal to help build better cities, Mike is focused on delivering on the mandate to grow the portfolio throughout Canada and the United States. At Qualico, there is a full appreciation that thriving cities are a result of a highly collaborative effort across government, public and private business and social causes. Mike enjoys building high-performing teams by understanding individual strengths, empowering staff members, and leading by example. He works hard to grow and foster strong relationships within the industry.

Mike believes in the importance of being a committed corporate citizen and has held various board / committee roles with the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, the Mental Health Foundation of Alberta, The United Way of Alberta Capital Region, the Glenrose Hospital Foundation and was President of the NAIOP Edmonton Chapter. He was also instrumental in helping architect Kickstand which is now helping transform the way we deliver youth mental health care in Alberta. Mike is currently a member of the: Downtown Recovery Coalition, UDI Edmonton Board of Directors, MacEwan School of Business Campaign Cabinet, and the Boyle Street Community Services King Thunderbird Centre Capital Campaign Circle.
